THE GREAT WALL

Today we went to the Great Wall of China. The bus ride out and back was pretty rough, but it was definitely worth it. We rode a lift up to the wall itself and walked many steps. The views were unbelievable! On the way back we rode through the Olympic Village. They have a long way to go before it's ready and with the games less than a year away, it's hard to imagine them finishing in time. Finally we stopped for lunch at a "family style" restaurant. They put about ten dishes in the middle of the table and at least half of them went untouched. One was a whole fish (including head and tail) covered in a red sauce that looked exactly like blood.
